General Information

The Hotel De Las Letras H&R pays homage to the world of literature and to the pictogram as the 1st element of written language, with texts by various authors silkscreen printed on the walls in the whole hotel, including poems, essays and extracts from stories.
The building is listed as part of the Historic Heritage of the town and dates from 1917. It was refurbished for use as a hotel in 2005. The restoration of the entire building was carried out using upper grade materials in order to complement and emphasise the original features:
- The distribution of regions and the original floor heights of the building.
- The grand orientation with 3 outside faades on the streets Gran Va, Caballero de Gracias and Clavel.
- The 5 inside patios which give beautiful natural lighting to all the floors.
- Two original staircases, in a ideal country of preservation.
- Coffered ceilings, tiles, arches and columns from the period.
The treatment of color and light, up-to-date materials used in a classic way, the choice of all the details and attractive, original and present-day decor, denote that the inn mixes the buildings fascination with 21st century modernity, making it the plurality contemporary historic hotel in the town, the latest classic in the Gran Va.
The apartments have been designed and planned down to the smallest details, from the finishes to natural fabrics in cotton and linen, exclusively planned carpets made in Nepal, particularly made furniture with various coloured lacquers and various kinds of lighting, everything chosen to design a warm and hospitable ambience.
ROOMS
The 109 apartments are distributed on the 6 floors of the structure around the 5 inside patios. Almost all the apartments in the guesthouse have exterior vistas, depending on the arrangement of the various kinds of suite: Basic, Superior, Plus, DLs and Duplex, adapted to the buildings particular characteristics, the commodious gardens lined with Ipe forest on the fifth floor, the 4 turrets which crown the top part of the structure, the glazed galleries which form part of the exterior faade and the sixth floor gardens with individual Jacuzzi, prepared for use whatever the season and from where Madrids marvellous skyline able to be delighted. Services: Plasma TV, Satellite strait, Modem Fax connection, self-sufficient Wi-Fi, personal Bar, selection of pillows, safe, individual air conditioning/heating, phone, apartment amenities.

The flat roof of the inn, El Atico de Letras, dominating the rooftops of the Gran Va and encircled by a Mediterranean park, is the perfect place to appreciate the sun, eat or beginning the evening.
The hotel Spa is a mini municipal refuge, with massages, sauna and acclimatised Jacuzzi, for that time of day when one able to devote time to personal attention and leisure.

Situated at Gran Via 11, from De Las Letras H&R you are able to stroll to Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcal, and Cibeles piazza, and to the 3 famous museums of the Art Triangle, Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum and Reina Sofia Museum.
