General Information
The hotel's elite location on the Cerro de Santa Catalina adds a defensive, fortress-like character to the Jaen scenery. With a tonic swimming pool and exterior stonework that soaks up the sun, the inn promises to enchant you with a full experience of the Andaluz Renaissance. The building's magnificent appearance continues interior with the magnificent 20 metre high arches in the major lounge, the breakfast room with its characteristic Arabic character, and the easeful bedrooms with their wonderful views. The soft inside decor of the structure is supplemented by a varied gastronomic carte menu: ajo blanco (chilled almond and garlic soup), ensalada de perdiz (partridge salad), pipirrana (typical salad) and espinacas a la jienense con huevo (Jaen spinach with egg).
Dining Information
proposes the distinctive cuisine of Jaen, which combines Andalucian flavour and color with the sobriety of La Mancha. Amongst the characteristic dishes are 'La Pipirrana' (a peculiar cucumber and tomato salad) and 'espinacas al estilo de Jaen' (a spinach dish). Also worth trying is the celebrated 'Cena jocosa' of Jaen which is a the whole meal, with a few dishes.
Exterior
When the inn was constructed the gothic architecture of the national monument surrounding, was taken into consideration.
Lobby
The halls and wide suites of the guesthouse evoke times of past glory. Armour, grandiose tapestries and ogival arches are supplemented by the gilt business which has in plenty of halls and corridors, revealing a moorish influence.

located on upper of the Cerro de Santa Catalina adjacent to the palace after which it's named. The panorama from the parador is majestic, from the fertile Guadalquivir Valley to the hills of the Sierra Morena and commodious olive trees.
