The guesthouse resides a cute palace built by the king of Navarre, Sancho Abarca, in the 10th century. The structure restful holds the appearance and mood of an original old-fashioned fortress and provides an outstanding backdrop to the costal serene location. The thick-walled exterior of the fortress belies its nicely renewed inside. Do not miss the immense, genuine beauty of the stonework in the patio or the unbelievable sea panorama from the balcony and some of the bedrooms, along the French beach. Transportation

The Parador dominates the skyline at the most high point of the town and is situated in the gorgeous Plaza de Armas, adjacent to the church Nuestra Senora del Manzano. It lies at the centre of one of the stateliest cities in the Basque state. Hondarribia (formerly Fuenterrabia) is 18 kms. from San Sebastian Donostia either by the N-1 highway or by the A-8 motorway from the French border.
