Hotel El Convento Arcos de la Frontera

General Information

In the center of the historical and charming ancient town of Arcos, part of the monastery convent of nuns was changed into the Hotel El Convento. In this silent site, among churches, castles and other attractive buildings, our visitor adore the serenity of the cities old beauty, a monument to light. From its apartments and terrace on the roof, our guests able to comtemplate the magnificient vistas of the Pena and the Guadalete river vale.

Transportation

Hotel El Convento is situated in the Heart of the Old Quarter, on a foot passenger avenue called Maldonado, considered one of a most beautiful streets of the city. Like in most of the ancient cities in Andalucia, streets are narrow and car park is limited. Once you're in Arcos, follow the signs Centro Ciudad (city centre) or Conjunto Monumental (old town). Drive up the hill to Plaza del Cabildo; it's a toll parking and a twenty-four hour ticket is offered to our dear guests at a cheaper price (3. 50 Eurday). Once your auto is parked, take Escribanos St. towards Plazuela de Boticas by foot and there turn the 1st into the right, the guesthouse is at the end of the avenue, opposite Olivares Veas Theatre. Whether you desire not to drive up to the Old Town, try to garden in the lower part of the city, at the metro car parking in Paseo de Andalucia (P1) or at our sister Hotel Los Olivos car park (7 EUR day, cheaper that in the metro parking)If you decide to garden at Hotel Los Olivos, please go into the inn and tell the receptionist that you're a visitor of Hotel El Convento. From there you must stroll up the hill (a 10 minute walk) or come by cab (at Hotel Los Olivos they could call one for you). There is also a little bus (Bus Centro) that stops at Plaza Espana (B) -between the metro car parking and Hotel Los Olivos- and stops by Hotel El Convento. Small bus is running each day less Sundays.
