With 270 sunny days a year, Bar belongs to the sunniest cities in South Europe. * The Skadar Lake: 25 km from Bar is the biggest lake in the Balkans. The lake is 50 kms long and 14 km big. Part of the Skadar Lake belongs to Albania, whilst 63, 20% of the lake belongs to Montenegro. There are plenty of islands on the lake popularly referred to as „gorice“ (little forests). The Skadar lake is a celebrated hunting district. Sailing tours on the Skadar Lake are organized with small boats. Approximately three kms south in the direction to Ulcinj the biggest municipal agglomeration of ruins in the territory of Montenegro is located. The city holds 240 buildings in ruins, with narrow winding st and piazza of an irregular shape. The building are made of trimmed cliff with one or a few floors. A few building and objects, the Turkish bath, powder towel and clock are from the Turkish period, in addition to the aqueduct with which the ancient town was being supplied with drinking water. A particular attraction of the Old Bar is the „pjaca“-market where the persons selling are dressed in the conventional clothes of this district and propose domestic products and goods, such as citrus fruits, olives, olive oil from the district of Bar, cheese and various hand crafts. The ancient olive tree is a monument of nature under protection of law since 1963. It’s over 2000 years antique and is considered the oldest tree in Europe.

After 1st traffic-lights in Bar on major highway from Budva to Bar go direct ahead and at the foot of the petrol station on the right side, you are able to see hotel Princess.
