Welcome To The House Of The She Pine Tree! A Museum House in a XIX Century Sintra Chalet. The House of the She Pine Tree was constructed at the end of the XIX Century for a local farmers family, and expanded in the 30s, when it was redesigned to its Sintra Chalet looks. It sits on the highground edge of the time forgotten countrysides of Sabugo and Vale de Lobo, in the shire of the historic city of sintra (a Unesco World Heritage Site). The countryside rolls down the last west overlooking slope where the mountains of Carregueira and Olela merge, with spectacular vistas of the mountain of Sintra and its vale, with marvelous unlimited 270 degrees sunsets panoramas! The sea from Guincho to Ericeira lies just beyond the horizon. The cottage was bought in the early sixties by the journalist, war reporter, radio and television producer and speaker, painter, artist, award-wining novelist, theater and childrens stories writer, publicist, poet, antiquarian, art collector Olavo d Eca Leal (Vd. Bio). The cottage will be the premises of a foundation and hosts the temporary and permanent contributions of drawings, paintings, amenities and personal objects of Olavo, constituting a Museum House. The suites are furbished with the art range, furniture and accessories, and personal objects of Olavo. The range is constituted mainly by drawings from 1926 to 1976, the year he passed away in Oxford, covering 50 years of his business. Situated about 400 m northwest of The House Of The She-Pine Tree, The Chapel House suites are set within an old-time horse stable conversion with 2 detach plans.
