By auto from the airport: Drive to Funchal, then Ribeira Brava, Sao Vicente, Ponta Delgada and then Boaventura. When you come at Boaventura, after the church (+- 200m) there is a turning to your left. After (+- 100m) you'll find Solar de Boaventura.
