From the airport: Take the motorway in the direction of Funchal. Exit the motor-way where you see the sign “HOSPITAL FUNCHAL”. Drive till you get to a round-about (you will 1st pass 2 Repsol gas stations, one on the left and the other on the right). Keep to your right and drive down “Avenida Luís Camões” (you will find the major hospital on your right) till you come to a cross-roads with traffic lights. Drive direct across “Avenida do Infant”, you'll then come to another cross-roads (you will see the Madeira Carlton Hotel in facade of you), here you turn left onto “Rua Imperatriz D. Amélia. " This highway will lead you to the entry of the hotel, which is on your left hand side.
