Transportation

(Total distance 65 km from Faro Airport) Speed limits: Highways 120 kmh; national highways 90 kmh; town 50 kmh. On leaving the airport (straight on) or the auto hire depot (turn left) go down the airport approach highway till reaching the fork in the highway (approx two km), signposted to FaroEspanha to the right, go direct on (the highway veers slightly to the left) signposted to the IP1 and PortimaoAlbufeira. This leads you over the EN125 and brings you down onto the west-bound lane of this highway. Travel for approx four kilometers the highway then forks with the right hand lane signposted to Almancil and the left hand is signposted to IP1 Lisboa and Loule. Receive in to the left hand lane and follow the dual carriageway for three. five kilometers, then take the right turn onto the slip highway signposted to Albufeira, Lisboa and Portimao. This slip highway will bring you onto the recent Via Infante motorway (becoming the A22). You should continue along this motorway, passing Albufeira and following signs for Portimao exiting the highway (A22) at fusion 6 signposted for Lagoa and Silves. On leaving the A22 follow signs to Lagoa and Carvoeiro (signposted with a brown coloured sign). The highway eventually turns a sharp right and brings you onto the EN125. Pass via the 1st round-about, and at the set of traffic lights just after the huge Wine Factory on your right hand side you'll see signs to the right hand side for Carvoeiro exit right at these traffic lights. Now follow this highway to Carvoeiro. About kms after you combine this highway to Carvoeiro you must follow the left fork (in the roundabout after PLUS hypermarket). This fork is signposted to Sesmarias to the right but make certain you visit going left to Carvoeiro. Visit on this highway till you pass INTERMARCHE hypermarket on your right. About 100m after the hypermarket is a left turn with a little restaurant called EDRA on your left as you take this turn. Continue following ROCHA BRAVA signs for three kilometers and then turn right (again following the ROCHA BRAVA sign) for 750 metres and you'll come to ROCHA BRAVA (if you miss this right turn you'll end up in the fishing countryside of Benagil). Enter ROCHA BRAVA and then take the 1st left where you can find the Reception. We wish you a secure trip to Rocha Brava.
