Kadyny Country Club is located in the Elblag Uplands in Poland on the edge of the National Park "Kadyny Woods", 19 kms from Elbląg and approximately 75 km from Gdansk. In the Kadyny Woods you'll find not only the biggest oak tree in Poland but also a lot of varieties of birds trees and fauna in addition to the rare Sika deer which was awarded to Emperor Wilhelm II by the Japanese Emperor, over one hundred years ago. The woodland produce a fantastic setting for a stroll and you may meet some wild boar, deer or pheasant on the way. Alonside the hotel is the former summer castle of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany. Worth seeing in the district: Gdansk (70 km) - Gdansk has a highly scenic Hanseatic Old Town and a greatly showy heritage. It was here that the 1st shots were fired in the Second World War and also here that the Solidarity movement brought approximately the beginnings to the fall of Communism in Poland and Eastern Europe. Gdansk and her International Airport with ever increasing straight international flights are only an hour away. Malbork (50 km) - the biggest Teutonic palace in Europe and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Frombork (15 km) - fortified cathedral and home to the outstanding astronomer Nicholas Copernicus who discovered that the Earth revolves around the Sun. The Elblag-Ostroda Canal ( 40 km) - this specific canal was planned for Kaiser Wilhelm and it's the only canal in the World where boats are pulled uphill on rails to overcome a difference in water levels of 100 meters. Kaliningrad ( Konigsburg), Russia - a mere 75 minute boat ride from Frombork will take you to the very heart of Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave. Passports must be organised beforehand. By plane: The hotel can organize a transfer or assist with a hire auto. By auto: From Gdansk follow for the direction of Warsaw. When you reach Kazmierzowo ( two kilometers from Elblag) on the E77 turn left, Follow the highway around a small to the left, and go over the recent bridge. At the lights turn left and follow directions for Kadyny ( 14 km).
