Area information
Szczecin is the capital of Western Pomerania, the north-western area of Poland. The town lies on the river Oder, which flows along 2 river beds through the city, at the Gulf of Szczecin, 16 kilometers from the German border, 80 kms from the Baltic Sea and 150 kms from Berlin. The town is situated at an essential communication and conveyance fusion connecting the Baltic countries to Western Europe, Scandinavia and Southern Europe. The airport at Goleniów is 45 kms from Szczecin and has flight connections with Copenhagen and Warsaw. Szczecin is an necessary trade port.
