Poland, officially the Republic of Poland, is a country in Central Europe. Tourism in Poland is a very well-developed business and includes visits to big and old cities. Lots of tourists like the capital of Poland, Warsaw, with its palace and its Old Town, its avenues and squares. Other well-known and acient cities are Kraków with its churches and its castles, the medieval city of Gdańsk, Lublin with its Jewish history. There are a lot of big and small cities full of cafes and pubs that present interest mainly for backpackers. The Mazury lake district in Poland with its vivid green villages and Malbork castle is worth seeing. On the coast of Baltic Sea there are a few sea resorts such as Wolin island, located close to Germany. Among other known resorts are Kołobrzeg, Łeba, Hel, Sopot, Krynica Morska. In southern Poland there are resorts for skiing and hiking in the mountains, which is part of the Sudetes mountain range and in Carpathian Mountains. Other famous resorts for skiing and hiking include Zakopane in the Tatra mountains. All this explains why there are a lot of hotels in Poland where you can always to stay in.
