Set at 450 metres. above sea level, San Bernardino del Lago includes 3 enjoyable stone farmhouses characteristic of the area. Acurately restored they retain their original character and have been divided into 7 cosy rooms and 1 bungalow (a detached house-casale). The suites are cool in the summer months and warm in the winter. The proprietors live in 3 of them. The houses are in a tranquil situation with gorgeous vistas. The rural area around includes gentle woody slopes interspersed with cultivated valleys where grain is grown. Every room features its own entry and outside privately-owned pergola equiped with desk and chairs; we provide bath,bed,kitchen linen and tools. In several mins driving on get to Rapolano Terme, celebrated spa center, with two bath-establishments. Breakfast available on the occasion of a demand. We are in the Chianti region, around us: Siena (30 km), Arezzo (35 km), Pienza (25 km), Cortona (35 km), Montalcino (35 km), and Montepulciano (25 km), San Quirico d’Orcia (30 km). A romanesque lake of 11. 000 mq is just 100 metres far from the cottage and canbe used to fish. Through our 90 hectares it is possible to go for a stroll and excursions. Across the thick forest you are able to adore the beauty and the greatness of nature, and often you are able to meet roe, squirrel and porcupine. You are able to taste our natural products such as wine, oil, jam and marmalade, honey and truffels. Occasionally, on demand, we offer homemade meals, we use only our biological products like eggs, vegetables, meat, oil, marmalade and honey. We organise wedding, party and other occasions.
