General Information

Bungalow Il Frantoio is a bed & breakfast in the Amalfi Coast, in the South of Italy, in the picturesque village of Vettica Maggiore is the newly reconstructed historic Il Frantoio. The bungalow was once a working olive press for the local villagers and features been thoroughly renewed to bring back the essence of a period long gone. The bungalow feature six suites every with a unique and particular character with privately-owned gardens facing the shimmering Mediterranean, pretty Positano and legendary Capri. Homer's famed island of the Sirens (Sirenuse) also lies in what seems merely inches from your touch through your window. The architecture of the bungalow dates back to the seventeenth centuty and all of the romantic and dramatic details shine through today. The villa's privately-owned and common-space gardens are characterized by dramatic high arches and the sleeping chambers have domed roofs in the genuine fashion of this district. The original stone wheel and press have been maintained fully intact in our majestic room as a delicious centrepiece. Although each effort to restore it original fascination and luxuriousness have been employed, there are all the up-to-date conveniences one would expect in a world class bed & breakfast establishment.

Transportation

In order to get to Praiano from Naples, use the Autostrada A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria. Exit the motorway in Castellammare di Stabia, just after Pompeii. Drive towards Sorrento and then follow Positano. Praiano is the countryside immediately after Positano. Once reached Praiano countryside center you need to drive towards San Luca church and garden your auto on by means of Costantinopoli Vettica Maggiore. Il Frantoio is situated at 300 metres on by means of Francesco Russo n. 36, in a foot passenger region, not accessible by auto. Whether you intend to receive here by social transport, having as base the railway station of Naples, use the Circumvesuviana local train to Sorrento, or whether your beginning is the airport of Naples then you could use either the Alibus to the railway station and then the local train to Sorrento or the Curreri straight bus to Sorrento. Once you've reached Sorrento, you could receive on the Sita bus and continue to Praiano. From the very heart of the countryside of Praiano (Vettica Maggiore stop), you are able to stroll up the flight of steps by means of Francesco Russo and get to the n. 36 (about 200 steps) or hop on the local bus Flavio Gioia and receive off at the stop Muriciello and continue by foot to Via Francesco Russo (about 400 meters).
