Masseria “Il Frantoio” is at the centre of Armando and Rosalba’s farm. It's not just where they live, with their daughter and her family, but besides where, with widely-known favour and savoir faire, they welcome their visitors with their welcoming members of the personnel. The cottage is set out with old bedrooms, there are 2 wonderfully silent terraces and a 16th century metro olive press. There are plenty of communal regions, such as the upstairs “salone” with its library of some 1, 500 books; a testament to an omnipresent passion for literature that goes back centuries. A 10 minute drive will lead you to the 4 beaches, where there are umbrellas and lounges reserved for our dear guests. The kitchen ‘belongs’ to Rosalba, a passionate and creative cook. She leads a team of local women in a cuisine that incorporates all the organic and wild make of the farm, using antique recipes passed down through a lot of generations. Throughout the summer you'll eat under the stars in the patio. “Il Frantoio” is in the midst of a 180 acre olive grove which one of us will happily show you around in his classic automobile. We will keenly explain all the various trees, all of which make our five extra-virgin olive oil. From the 16th century Arabic citrus orchard we produce various marmalades, all of which are catered at breakfast. Rosolio, a secret and old digestivo, is also a major feature of “Il Frantoio”. Rosalba’s highly own olive-leaf rosolio is particular throughout the word, so much so that in 2005 she received a exclusive ‘Encomio dal Ministero dell’Agricoltura’.
