Podere Morniano Country Farm Florence

General Information

In the midst of Tuscany, amidst hillside olive trees and chestnut forests, enjoy glorious views of the spectacular Arno vale at the historic state farm Morniano, twenty kilometers south of Florence (Hwy exit Incisa Valdarno). Built of stone and old ceiling timbers, the cottage holds a charming (77 sq. Meter) rental room that conveniently accomodates 2-4 persons. Accessed by an intimate entryway, the suite was restored 9 years ago but holds its historical characteristics. It retains a spacious, eat-in kitchen with a hearth, a bedroom with a double bed, a living bedroom with two single beds and a bath. Overlooking south, it's stylishly furnished with old state furniture. The foundation of the cottage was constructed in the 12th century. The structure was enlarged in the seventeenth centuty and completed in 1658. Historically Morniano was a spot that offered cordiality for pilgrims on their way to Rome.
