The Hotel is a distinctive Florentine-style home where both the living suite and the breakfast suite have kept their original properties and are furnished with old furniture and embellished with lovely frescoes on the walls. The hotel is also greatly noble because as it was the home of Bartolini Salimbeni's family, an antique Florentine merchant family.

All of the bedrooms have a contemporary design blended with the conventional and dainty character of the hotel. five of the apartments are in-keeping with the antique fashion, displaying old furniture and frescoes on the walls; it's said that Caterina De' Medici slept in suite number 47.

Breakfast is catered in the Florentine-style breakfast apartment from 07: 30 - ten: 30 every day in the morning, and the price is included in the suite rate.

Florence downtown is highly beautiful; you can get most districts on foot, enabling you to see the impressive sights and memorials of this small city. During the day there are plenty of pretty cafes open in the most significant squares, and at night it's extremely romantic to take a stroll on the Ponte Vecchio or to go to Piazzale Michelangelo to have a look at the view of Florence by night.

Hotel Martelli is in the centre of the downtown, close to Santa Maria Novella train station. So whether you arrive by train, you only have to follow the signs for Duomo Cathedral. Whether you arrive by plane you'll need to take a cab or bus to the downtown. Parking: EUR 26. 00 per day.
