Arriving by auto from the north you sholud leave the A1 Highway (or the A11 whether you are coming from the coast) at Firenze Nord tollhouse, than follow signs for the downtown ('centro'), and after that follow the ones for the Santa Maria Novella train station ('Stazione'). From south exit at Firenze Sud tollhouse of A1, then constantly follow the sign for 'Centro' and 'Stazione'. Visitors can garden their auto in fixed price garages.
