Agriturismo Il Molinello Asciano

General Information

In 1996 we moved to the Crete Senesi and we fell in love with the Molinello: Etruscan origins, old-fashioned mill, tranquillity and stillness. That's why we decided to share it with our dear guests and their four-legged friends. The farm keeps complete family busy: Alessandro (biologist, nature guide and Sommelier), Elisa who looks after the administration, Mauro and Paola, retired but full time busy on the farm. And we hope that in the future even Emma, Guido and Bernardo will provide us a helping hand. We make vegetables and fruit, olive oil and truffles from organic agriculture. For our dear guests we arrange a wealthy program of initiatives discovering the colours and flavours of the Crete, wine tasting in our comfortable winery and excursions by bike guided by Alessandro who is fond of cycling. Only four kilometers from our farm there are the spa baths of Rapolano which grant unique discounts to our dear guests.

Transportation

Exit at Valdichiana Bettolle from the highway A1. Take the E78 in direction of Siena. At Km 28 of the highway Siena - Bettolle (E78) you have to exit at Serre di Rapolano. You must turn to the right towards to countryside of Serre di Rapolano. At the roundabout follow for Serre di Rapolano. Go the length of two, 6 Km (always the major road) going along the ring highway around the countryside. You'll arrive to a crossroads close to a power plant, to turn to the right. You must now go the length of approximately 300 m turning to the left close to an immense crossroads. After 1, four Km you may see on the right hand a sign indicating the direction of Il Molinello. You must go along this highway and after five hundred meters you'll have arrived.
