This hotel is directly several kilometres from Alberobello, the capital of the trulli which have become a national monument and a UNESCO world history spot. The name of the city comes from Sylva Arboris Belli (war tree forest), that is an oak forest which formerly covered the entire district on which the captivating city was later built. It's thought that Alberobello was founded in the fifteenth century by the Counts Acquaviva D'aragona of Conversano.
