Food & beverage
Samuel Restaurant, well-known due to its luxurious cuisine, high standards and intimate relaxing ambiance, yet good for both formal and unofficial events, is one of the best restaurants in Tralee. Head cook Ray provides an a la carte and 4-course desk d'hote menu every evening. Enjoy a wonderful cuisine in the dining apartment, where care and creativity is the hallmark. Samuel's is open for snack and dinner seven days a month. Snack: 12: 30 - 14:30. Dinner: 18: 00 - 21:30. The restaurant of the hotel, on the west side of Denny Street, was once the office of Mr. Samuel Hussey (1824-1913), one of the most notorious and showy land agents in 19th century Ireland. The conventional fashion pub is known locally as The Pikeman Bar, so called as the Pikeman Statue (“Croppy Boy”) is just outside the facade door on the major st. The brasserie food menu is 2nd to none and proposes a big and vast choice of prime food at moderate prices. The brasserie food menu finishes at 21: 30 to help our conventional Irish music sessions each Friday night during all the year and nightly during summer months, which have proved extremely popular with local and visiting visitors alike. Divided into two sections, the section nearest the st was once the location of the local post office and home of Oliver Rowland Mason, Postmaster. The ornate ceilings, hand carved furniture, and fireplaces are testament to that fact. The major properties of the brasserie are two open fires, forest panelled walls and conventional leaded glass, all combining to provide a warm and friendly ambience to Tralee's most popular and historic pub.
