The Maharees (1 km) - The longest coast in Ireland stretches from the Maharees westwards through Castlegregory to Cloghane countryside, 12 miles in length. There is a Blue Flag coast in the Maharees. Lough Gill (1 km) - Lough Gill is just a quarter-mile from Castlegregory countryside and is of sizeable significance as a main breeding ground of the rare Natterjack Toad. On a marvellous summer night, the natterjack can be heard for miles. Dingle Oceanworld, Dingle (27 km) - Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium is located in the impressive Dingle Peninsula in West Kerry. A trip to the Aquarium is a must for the young and antique as a fun day out for all.
