General Information

Acres Wild Cheesemaking Farm is a 22 acre organic cheesemaking family-farmstay in the hill station of Coonoor, Nilgiris, India. It's 6000 feet above the sea level with a cool climate and a striking vale vista. Yet it is just three km from the bus stand within Coonoor Town which is prominent for its tea estates and pristine bio-sphere zones.

We have two farmstay cottages (total three rooms). Suites have bay-windows, wooden floors, solar water heating, attached bathrooms. Dining and kitchen are a part of the cottages.

There are two natural ponds on our property that features fish, ducks and geese.

The most specific feature of our farm is that we produce glutton cheeses like Gouda, Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Camembert. We also conduct cheesemaking courses only for our farmstay clients whether they so wish to enroll for it.
This makes it possible for our guests to have a special experience and in addition to learn and participate in all our farm activities.

Breakfast is complimentary and includes choice of eggs, toast, our cheese, our butter, jam, muesli with milk and airy fruits. Specific Indian fashion dishes or sandwiches for vegetarians.

Lunch and Dinner able to be ordered to fixed carte menu a day before.

Veg Meal: two types of vegetables, pulses and rice, Indian roti or paratha, salad and dessert.

Non-Veg: same as above with one chicken/fish/beef dish.
