General Information

Welcome to Carlton Astoria! With over a 100 years of excellence in the historical Maxvorstadt region the Carlton is one the oldest hotel institutions in Munich. The Astoria Hotel management and total personnel moved in early 2009 from the Nikolaistrae to the Furstenstrae, our recent Home. Renamed the Carlton Astoria, we will breathe recent life into our hotel whilst maintaining its convention of excellence. We chose this name in order to underline, throughout the refurbishment, the continued family atmosphere and individual attention that welcomed every visitor of the antique Astoria and built our image over 21 years. We are carrying out a general refurbishment of the inn, restoring and furnishing it with painstaking care to each detail. We goal to get to a balance between functional and refined design in accord with the nicely aged building. We are creating a jewel of a hotel at a stone's throw to the majority significant galleries and a moment's amble from the downtown. Transportation

To get to the metro stations of Odeonsplatz and Feldherrnhalle, which mark the start of the nice foot zone, you will have to stroll only 5 minutes from the inn. From in this place you able to also get to the Residenz, the ancient seat of the Wittelsbach dynasty with the precious Hercule's Hall or the Cuvillees Theatre. Only some mins stroll and you will reach the Opera or to the refined Maximilianstrae, the chic shopping avenue in Munich. From the inn you can get in approximately 15 mins the world known Hofbrauhaus and the downtown with its piazza Marienplatz. At a 100 meters stroll, at the corner with Amalienstrae, the bus 100, coming from the main station, will take you to the above mentioned museums. The bus operates each 10 minutes during the day, each 20 min during the night.
