General Information

The cautiously renewed VILLA AMMONIT, dating from 1910, proposes calm accomodation in Berlins residential region of Lichterfelde. The Potsdamer Platz piazza is just fifteen mins away by town rail. Set amongst spruce homes and leafy gardens, the privatly run VILLA AMMONIT brags specific interiors, enchanting stucco details and select antiques. An octopus-related family of animals that lived in their lime shells during the Mesozoic era brings the story. The Villa, which today is preserved, was constructed by architect Adolph Born. There are little reliefs on the outer walls of the Villa, one of them is an Ammonit. The cottage was indigenously constructed as a luxury living cottage, but it was largened with a Ballroom in 1915. The ancient and attractive details were reconstructed during a refurbishment of the cottage in 2007. The Ammonites, mostly formed in spiral shapes, also stand as symbols for Success and Happiness. The Villa hosts only still Guest Rooms, one of them with a veranda. Also a room is obtainable. The cottage is individually adorned with love and attention in all details. Trails from the past are matched with the up-to-date. Idyllic pieces brought from a lot of journeys brings individuality and a discreet fascination to the spacy suites. The magnificent Lounge, a previous Ballroom, is good for jovial happenings and festivities for up to 30 people. A Bechstein magnificent piano is prepared for the concert in the evenings. The vaulted roof with imaginative stucco and the original parquet flooring from 1915 gives the apartment a very especial atmosphere.
