Amstel House opened in July 2005. After 2 renovations, it's now a contemporary hostel with a 24h reception, and hosts groups in addition to backpackers, families on vacation and single tourists. Amstel House proposes a range of amenities: a wealthy breakfast, treveller data, ticket services, guided tours, I-net, washhouse facilities, bike rental or just a ale whilst planning your next activity.

Most of the apartments (quadruple in addition to single and twin rooms) have BUNK BEDS.

The surrounding metro station U-Tumstrasse - which is only 2 stops from Zoo-Station is an perfect spot from which to discover Berlin. It's situated un the centre and easily available: only seven mins away from the main station, 15 mins from Tegel airport, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and Hackescher Markt. The hostel is nevertheless situated in a tranquil and conventional district: our visitors like to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing with a tour in the ancient Berliner Arminius-Market Place or in one the plenty of gardens, restaurants and local pubs just around the corner.

Arriving by train: Central station (Hauptbahnhof-Lehrter Bahnhof): Bus 245 Direction "Zoologischer Garten", appr. seven min., exit "U-Bahnhof Turmstraße" Ostbahnhof: take suburban railway S7 or S9 direction Wannsee or Spandau, receive off at "Zoologischer Garten". Change for underground line 9 direction "Osloer Straße", two stops, receive off at "Turmstraße". From the airport: Tegel Airport (TXL): Bus "TXL" seven stops to "U-Bahnhof Turmstraße". Schönefeld Airport (SXF): Walk or take the Airport Shuttle to the station. Take suburban railway S9 direction "Spandau", receive off at "Zoologischer Garten". Change for underground U9 direction "Osloer Straße", two stops to "Turmstraße". By auto: road A 100, exit no. two "Beusselstraße". / "Seestraße", folllow directions for "Tiergarten", drive till mix "Huttenstraße/ Turmstraße", turn left into "Turmstraße", third boulevard on your left (Oldenburger Straße) you have to turn into. Drive till you see this st crossing with "Waldenserstraße", then you turn right.
