Built in 1926, the hotel Montalembert was the 1st shop hotel in Paris. It's situated in the very heart of Paris, in the center of Saint Germain des Prés, home of the art galleries, antiques, and close to the Musée d'Orsay and the Louvre. The name Montalembert comes from Charles Forbes Montalembert, a widely-known politician, writer and member of the exclusive Academie Française.

A big variety of dishes come under four major categories: Terre, Mer, Végétal, and Soleil, accessible in either “dégustation” or “gourmet” size. The "Salon Gallimard", named after the well-known publishing company in the neighbourhood, is devoted to privately-owned functions for up to ten persons.
