We are hidden away on the border of the World Heritage listed Lake Eacham National Park and less than 10 minute from the historical city of Yungaburra, which features award winning restaurants and a little supermarket. Encounter cute Wallabies, marauding Brush Turkeys, shy Musky Rat Kangaroos, long nosed bandicoots, Victoria's Rifle birds, Cat Birds and much more wildlife from your own private terrace. Of the 760 bird species in Australia, more than 300 able to be found on the Tablelands, and plenty of endemic species are seen from the cottages. Your hospitable hosts, John and Jenny, propose transfers to and from the noble restaurants in surrounding Historical Yungaburra Village. All the cottages are privately and decorated with taste in the themes of Pioneer, Tuscany, Bali and Nautical. The entire with all the amenities of home TV, DVD, stereo, and full kitchen. Plus lots of small extras to spoil you; forest fire heater (it is a small cooler here than on the coast), vast thermal bath to luxuriate in, large king bed, candles, bubble bath, bunchs of flowers and additionaly Port and Chocolates. Also provided are bird and wildlife books and board toys. The volcanic origins of the Tablelands features resulted in a wealthy fertile plain of rolling mountains interspersed with World Heritage Rainforest, amazing waterfalls and crater lakes. Transportation

We are situated in the center of the Atherton Tablelands, five mins from Lake Eacham, on the border of the Lake Eacham section of the Crater Lakes National Park. We are an hour's vivid drive from the very heart of Cairns. The easiest access is South of Cairns through the Gillies Highway. You are able also come from the North, by means of Kuranda or Port Douglas through the Rex Range, or from the South through the Palmerston Highway.
