General Information

Harpers on the Beach is a luxury B&B and comprising of 3 luxuriously appointed queen suites and a two bedroom self-contained house. The suites are nicely decorated with imported fabrics and furniture. Every room is equipped with a personal deck with vistas of the ocean. Step off your deck and it's a mere twenty 5 paces to the generally deserted 3 kilometers white sand coast. This wild, unspoilt and virtually secret crescent shaped coast features been named as one of a most beautiful in Australia. Overlooking west you'll experience amazing sunsets over Storm Bay with vistas all the way to Bruny Island and the South West wilderness region and the Hartz Mountains. Only 10 minutes from Port Arthur, Harpers on the Beach is the matchless shop lodging in Tasmania that able to say that it's on the coast! Dinner is catered by arrangement and when possible is constantly based around local and organic make.

Dinner by arrangement. We cater a set three course carte menu daily, $45 for a person and require notice by 12 noon on the day.

Transportation

From HobartHobart International Airport. Take the A3 from Hobart or the airport to Sorell. At Sorell, take the A9 towards Port Arthur to Taranna. Just past Taranna, turn right onto the B37 towards Nubeena. At Nubeena, continue on the B37 for about two kilometers and turn right onto White Beach Road. Harpers Place is around two kilometers from the beginning of White Beach Road, the 2nd turning on the right after the caravan garden. We are at the fenced property end of Harpers Place. From Port Arthur: On leaving the Port Arthur place, turn left towards Nubeena. White Beach is around ten kilometers from Port Arthur. Turn left onto White Beach Road. Harpers Place is around two kilometers from the beginning of White Beach Road, the 2nd turning on the right after the caravan garden. We are at the fenced property end of Harpers Place.
