Operated by Kees and Lisa, owner builders of the premises, they live in the historic homestead (1880C) situated within the two acres of Bungunyah's terraces. The homestead of Bungunyah was originally used as a horse stud, and features a heritage of 3 proprietors including the contemporary proprietors the Kos's, who reconstructed the homestead to its former splendour in 1980. Bungunyah (Lost Shelter') was named by the 1st colonial settlers in honour of the local indigenous persons. Excellent wine, dining, brilliant hills and first-rate shoppingBungunyah is at the gateway to the esteemed Yarra Valley Wine District and at the foothills to the brilliant Dandenong Ranges.
