For those who admire the famous outdoors or simply wish to appreciate the the entire Long Island experience, you may wish to totally circumnavigate the Island by foot. You'll endure 9 hours of walkinghikingclimbing but the memories will last forever. As the sun sets beyond the hills of the Conway National Park, its last light shimmers across the water. A really magic sight via the palms and the Resort surrounds. This also heralds the nightly flight of the fruit bats as they momentarily darken the sky at dusk silently flying across the expansive patio and off into the night. The outside world is forgotten as you're submersed in nature's wonders.

Dining Information

Smorgasbord, snack and dinner is catered daily in Palms Restaurant, situated on the first floor. Dinner buffets are themed. There is also Cafe Paradiso which provides light meals, lunches and beverages at reasonable prices.

Exterior

Low rise cluster of buildings, scattered throughout the tropical panoramic gardens. Hammocks are hung under the trees on the coast. Situated behind reception desk you'll find tennis courts and a gymnasium. There are also 20kms of strolling tracks around the island. On the coast is an activities kiosk, providing a variety of water activities including jetskiing, snorkling, paddleskis and coast volleyball. The resort also stresses a lap pool and a lagoon fashion pool & spa. An open-air brasserie facing the coast, next to the major swimming pool district and restaurant, is a firstrate place to unbend and imbibe the vistas!

Lobby

Little foyer, tropical fashion with cozy seating. Also situated within the entrance hall locality is a little gift boutique which also supplies basic essentials and doubles as a tour table facility to help clients with conveyance and tours. Next to the gift boutique is a day thermal providing a variety of treatments with Algologie products.

Location Information

Fly into Prosepine (closest airport to Airlie Beach) or into Hamilton Island. From Hamilton Island there are boat transfers to Long Island. Alternatively transfers depart from the continental at Shute Harbour which is a panoramic 10min drive from the very heart of Airlie Beach countryside (a bus makes regular trips from city to the terminal, there is also a cab rank on the major street). Ferry transfer from the continental takes only 20minutes. A delicious cruise via the Whitsunday passage, home to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
