Freycinet Lodge Coles Bay

General Information

Freycinet Lodge is Tasmania's premier environmentally hospitable resort. Located interior Freycinet National Park, only one hour's wander to fabulous Wineglass Bay, the Lodge features won plenty of awards. The premises features 60 nicely appointed cabins, all in a solitary bushland setting. The cabins are phone and tv independent to ensure the entire leisure. The major lodge faces Great Oyster Bay and consists of 2 restaurants, brasserie, hall and conference regions. It's an exquisite tranquil location for rejuvenation and the pleasure of natural activities, either personally, or with the assistance of experienced guides. Idle activities comprise bush strolling, star gazing, bird-watching, abseiling, 4 wheel bike and 4 wheel drive vehicle tours, kayaking, boat cruises and picturesque flights.

Transportation

Freycinet Lodge is situated in the Freycinet National Park, about two kilometres from the square entry. 2 and a half hours' drive from Hobart or Launceston. From Launceston take the Midland Hwy (A1) to Campbell Town, turn left onto the Lake Leake Hwy (B34), then left again onto the Tasman Hwy (A3). An astonishing panorama of 'The Hazards' on Freycinet Peninsula able to be seen from a lookout just north of this fusion. Approximately 15-20 mins past the mix, turn right onto Coles Bay Road (C302). Travel through Coles Bay to get to the entrance hall to Freycinet National Park. From Hobart take the Tasman Hwy (A3) through Sorell, Triabunna and Swansea. Wonderful views of the Freycinet Peninsula able to be seen all along the beach just south of Swansea and again from a lookout north of Swansea. Approximately 15-20 mins past the mix, turn right onto Coles Bay Road (C302). Travel through Coles Bay to get to the entrance hall to Freycinet National Park.
