General Information

The Reef Gateway Apartments are a relaxing group of Holiday Apartments with ambience, that have been newly renewed. They are all ocmpletely air-conditioned self-contained two bedroom suites with everything you have at home, including Cable TV with videos accessible. You can have a rest in the thermal or swim in the pool after relishing a day out on a tour. Chef your meals on the BBQ and imbibe the sun during the days that you aren't out on a tour. The work is owned and run by a greatly knowledgeable family, offering you that additional individual service and local knowledge. It's at the foot of the downtown and a short ride to the Rainforest or Tablelands. They have a Tour Desk and able to book any tour that leaves from Cairns. Having owned the work for over 6 yrs, they have a wonderful knowledge of all the various tour companies and what the various companies propose. The Cairns Esplanade is directly a short stroll away, with free access to the Great Barrier Reef and the diverse tours that able to take you to taste any part of the Tropical North Queensland. Within short distance are Restaurants, Supermarkets, Delis, Newsagents, Fish n Chip boutiques, Bottle Shops or delivered alcohol. There are also a few Tennis courts, Beach Volleyball courts, a gym, Olympic swimming pool and SoccerRugby field within a five minute short distance.

Transportation

The Reef Gateway Apartments are situated 6 blocks from the center of the city. From the Airport, a cab will cost approximately $12 and take five - 10 min. There is also a Shuttle Bus charging $7. 50 for a person which able to bring you from the airport. The Train Station and Bus Depot are both situated in Central Cairns, approximately 1 - two Kms away from, a cab from either of these should cost approximately $7, and take approximately five mins.
