General Information

Refurbished in 2002, our hotel consists a entire of 36 suites and one room. The features of the hotel a reception desk in the inviting foyer region.

Soldeu features plenty in common with other spas in Andorra - low prices, outstanding ski school, grim-looking countryside, nice bar-based nightlife. However, its local slopes are some of one of the best in the area. And due to the recent link with Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig the ski district features more than doubled in size to 186km, as mentioned earlier.

El Tarter features grown over new years to the point where it now seems no smaller than Soldeu; but it's quieter and there is no shortage of places to visit.

The major local slopes are on open mountainsides above the forests, though there are runs in the woodland back to all of the resort elevator bases.

The gondola rises over woody, north-facing slopes to Espiolets, an extensive shelf that is virtually a mini-resort - the ski school is based here, and there are commodious beginner regions. A gentle run to the east takes you to a district of long, simple runs catered by one of Soldeu's 3 six-packs. And behind that is an ample district of more varied slopes, catered by a quad and another six-pack that overlaps with the Pas de la Casa district. Going west from Espiolets takes you to the open bowl of Riba Escorxada and the arrival point of the elevator up from El Tarter. From here, the third six-pack serves sunny slopes on Tosa dels Espiolets, wile a leisurely quad leads off southwards towards surface lifts serving the high point of Tossal de la Llosada and the small used link with the slopes above Canillo.

The slopes above El Forn were developed for last season. The Riba Escorxada beginners' locality is being improved - a fresh quad is being added. There will also be a pair of recent runs. The Espiolets beginner locality is being further improved and a fresh surface elevator installed. A brand-new black run is designed for the Canillo slopes. The El Tarter terrain garden is also being improved. Recent trail signing and news boards are also designed.

Soldeu enjoys fairly reliable snow. Most slopes are north-facing, with artificial snow on the descents to Soldeu. The snowmaking is expanded every year, but should runs to the countryside be incomplete, the region as a whole is not unduly affected. It is a limited district for experts. There are short off-piste trails down the bowl beneath Llosada, and sometimes you are able to play in powder amongst the trees above El Tarter. The majority straight of the woody runs down to El Tarter and Soldeu are good for beautiful intermediates, whilst those of moderate ability will appreciate the relatively long pistes from Llosada. Timid skiers have gentle cruises throughout the region. Riba Escorxada is a great section for mixed ability groups, and the recent link to Canillo/El Forn and recently made runs there allow for more cruising mileage. A fresh building here consists of a ski school and restaurant.

This is a famous resort for beginners. It's relatively snowsure, and there are numerous simple pistes to move on to. The Espiolets beginner region and playground has just been recent rope tows have been added. A brasserie, buffet, and beginner are shortly to be situated interior a fresh building there.

There's a well-appointed fun-park and half-pipe for snowboarders, which is easier to reach thanks to a brand-new six-seater chair.

The ski school features a famous image for standards of English, quality of tuition and friendliness. Kids aged 3 to 10 able to attend a non-ski beginner. Kids' ski school starts from six years antique, but lunchtime supervision is not accessible.
